On Ron’s Amazing Stories it is all about Nightfall. I am talking about the classic SciFi story written by Isaac Asimov. We will hear the origins of the story, some thoughts about it, and the radio adaptation of it from the OTR series X-Minus One. We also have two new ghost stories from the listeners. A pool boy ghost leaves his hand prints behind and a headless woman roams Iroquois Park in Louisville, Kentucky. So press that play button and enjoy the show.
Featured Story - Nightfall
Our featured story comes from our featured audiobook. It is the radio adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s Nightfall. It comes from the OTR series X-Minus One and truly does fire on all cylinders. But why? The answer is simple. The tale takes place on a planet where conditions are very different from those here on earth. In this one we are forced to imagine what life would be like with no night. Now on Earth there are no places like that. However, if you're at the North or South Pole you can sort of experience it. But can you imagine a world that had no night at all? Then imagine the chaos that would ensue if suddenly the lights went out and you saw the stars for the very first time. That is what happens in Nightfall. It first aired on X-Minus One in December of 1955.
Other Stories Include - The Broken Window, Nightfall and Other Stories, Ghost In The Pool, The Night at Iroquois Park, and Nightfall by Isacc Azimov
