The RAS wants to wish a Merry Christmas to you and your families. On the show this week we have a special hour long story called the Vagabond King. It tells the tale of a thief and his life changing adventures. The program doubles as an opera, but don’t let that put you off from listening. It is a great saga. It comes from the dramatic series Lux Radio Theater and first aired on Christmas Eve 1944. Also, on the show we have the news and some special music to celebrate the coming New Year. So sit back grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the annual Christmas episode.
Twitter update: We had a remarkable 27 new followers to the show this week. With that many and the length of program it was not possible to say hello to all. After the New Year I will make it up to all of you in some creative way. Until then my thanks to everyone that has taken the time to follow the show.
Merry Christmas RAS!

I was touched when you played "The Vagabond King" because it originally aired while my mother worked at Oak Ridge (where they secretly worked on the atom bomb). I know she would have listened to it, because she loved operettas. Thanks for your broadcasts.
