RAS #136 - Command

On this week’s episode, we have a western that comes from a source that you would not expect. Also, we have a response to Fred’s email from last week and I have some exciting news about the podcast.

Our story is a Calvary western called “Command” and has a striking resemblance to the famous 1949 John Ford western “Fort Apache” starring John Wayne and Henry Fonda. It comes from Escape which was old time radio's leading anthology series of high-adventure radio dramas. It aired on CBS from 1947 to 1954. It produced both original stories and adaptations. I believe that this episode was an adaption, but at this time I am not completely sure. I do know that it is from Escape, is called Command and It first aired on December 6, 1949.
