The Podcast this week is dedicated to all of you that love Basketball and the NBA. We are currently into the second round of the play-offs and I thought it would be a great time to have a show on the subject.

I went to my first Portland Trail Blazer game when I was ten years old and have been a fan ever since. One of the trademarks of the Blazers has been the high quality of the radio play-by-play. The first was the Hall Of Fame talents of Bill Schonely and then Brian Wheeler who I have no doubt will end up in the hall himself. Wheels, as he is known around the league, began his radio career as a broadcaster for his alma mater at Loyola University Chicago. There he called play-by-play for soccer, women's softball, and basketball for station WLUW-FM. In 1998, Wheels came to Portland, Oregon to take a job as the radio announcer for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers where he has been a fixture ever since. He is on the program this week to talk about the current NBA season and shares some amazing stories of his own.
