This week on the podcast we travel into the jungle in search of the elusive Mangani. Our success at finding this creature is likely to be in vain simply because they are the fictional race of apes that raised Tarzan from infant to protector. We will cover the life and history of the American author and entrepreneurEdgar Rice Burroughs. Also on the program, we will talk about Tarzan, the worldwide icon.

Of course, we will have a story to tell. It is an episode from the old time radio series Tarzan. Tarzan ventured into radio several times, twice in the 1930s and then again in the early 50s. What we have an epic story called Black Ivory which first aired on January 11, 1951. This is the show’s second episode and sets the stage for Tarzan’s relationship with the jungles tribes.
