Ron’s Amazing Stories is a weekly podcast. We play classic short stories, old-time radio and much more. Do you have a story that you want to tell? Ron will read it on the show or you can tell it for yourself! Also, we do interviews with authors, radio personalities, actors and even an NBA all-star

I think that we have a great episode this week. There are quite a few surprises that range from music to the long awaited announcement of the IPod and IPad app.

Our story for this episode comes from The Mysterious Traveler. This was not only an OTR series, but also a magazine and comic book. The radio version of the show was quite popular and ran in various time slots from 1943 to 1952. It was written and directed by Robert Arthur and David Kogan. Our story takes place just after World War II and asks the question: What have we done by unleashing the bomb on the world? I found this story to strangely unsettling, but yet amazing. It is called Strange New World and first aired on February 19, 1952.

A Frequent question I get is, how many listeners does your show have and where? Ron’s Amazing stories is heard on five radio stations across the country. The show plays on Thursdays at 8pm (EST):

Tampa, FL (AM1630 and FM102.1)
Las Vegas, NV (AM 1520 and FM 107.1)
Macon, GA (AM810 and FM87.9)
Lancaster, PA (AM1640 and FM102.1)
Boulder, CO (FM100.7)

As for the download option. The show’s main server at Libsyn.com averages about 6000 DLs (This number includes ITunes or any service that directly connects to libsyn). On Stitcher Radio we have at last check over 900 subscribers and another 300 plus at Google +. Those that stream the site at other locations or on IHeart Radio I have no way to count.
